Marianne Welch, age 58 of Wapakoneta, died at 11:04 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Rita's Medical Center, with loving family members surrounding her bedside. She is the daughter of Morris and Juanita Leffel, who survive. She married Kel L. Welch, who was her devoted husband and compassionate caregiver during her illness of 2 years and 8 months.

Marianne graduated in 1977 from Wapakoneta High School and was a member of the Buckland United Church of Christ. She had worked for 23 years at Superior Metal Products and 9 years at Dana Corporation. She was also a member of the UAW 1769.

She loved camping with her family and friends at Sun Valley Camp Grounds. Her talents included cooking and baking, especially her black raspberry pies. She treasured her family and will be remembered for the great love she showed them.

Survivors also include her children - Stephanie Hardison, Kel Curtis (Jeana) Welch, and Kendall Welch; siblings include Lynette (Ted) Rupert, Neil (Cheryl) Leffel; grandchildren - the loves of her life - Asiah, Christopher, Amyah, and Bobby; mother-in-law - Vivian Welch; father-in-law - Farrell (Phyllis) Welch; sisters-in-law - Kerrie (Steve) Picker, Jackie (Greg) Plaugher; Jeanie (Bill) Szipple; Joyce Daldos, Shelia (Donnie) Moore; brothers-in-law - Kent (Karen) Welch; Farrell (Amaris) Welch; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will received friends from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Buckland United Church of Christ, Buckland. Pastors Adrian Sunday and Jeanette Tangeman will officiate. Burial will follow at a later date in Buckland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Buckland United Church of Christ.
