Barbara J. (Hengstler) Logan, age 79, of Wapakoneta passed away peacefully at 4:10 p.m. January 2, 2017 at Cridersville Health Care Center. She was born May 8, 1937 in Lima Ohio to the late Raymond E. and Betty Botkin Hengstler. She married Marvin C. Logan March 20, 1959 and he survives in Wapakoneta.
Barb graduated from Shawnee High School in 1955 and Lima Memorial School of Nursing in 1958. She then had a career at Lima Memorial and retired from Oral Surgery Associates. She cared for people her entire life. Barbara enjoyed her family and friends. She loved to travel to New York City to enjoy Broadway Plays. Her love of show tunes touched her entire family. She also enjoyed ball room dancing with her husband, Marvin.
Additional survivors include a son Steve (Jan) Logan of Lima, daughter Linda (Frank) Stapp of Wapak, a daughter-in-law Pam Logan of Elida, 5 grandchildren: Jessica Logan, Jennifer (Joe) Morgan, Lindsay (Dustin) Birkenkamp, and Jeff Logan and Tyler Stapp; 4 great grandchildren, a brother Raymond (Dianne) Hengstler of St. Mary's and 2 sisters: Mary Louise Dotson of Wapak and Lucy Best of Crossville, TN, brother-in-law Don Hull of St. Mary's and many nieces and nephews
Barb was preceded in death by a son Max Logan and a sister Martha Hull.
The family will receive friends Sat. Jan. 7 from 1:30 to 4 p.m., and the funeral service will follow at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville with Pastor Josh Andrews officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Grand Lake Hospice 1122 E. Spring Street or the Alzheimer's Association.
