David G. Ruppert age 72, passed away peacefully at 12:34 p.m., Sunday November 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born Jan. 1, 1944 to the late Oscar and Hilma Steinke Ruppert. He married Paula J. Beall Jan. 5, 1970 and she survives in Wapak.
David was a lifetime member of the Ohio Quarter Horse Association and retired from Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed Lake Erie fishing, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Browns. Most of all he loved his grandchildren and loved to go watch all of their activities.
Additional survivors include 3 sons: David Shawn (Sue Collins) Ruppert, Stephen Burkart, Michael (Judy) Ruppert, a daughter Beth (Danny Cousino) Epperson, 9 grandchildren: Shyla, Chelsea, Kassee, Sydney, Ethan, Ross, Crew, Alisha and Lauren, 4 great grandchildren and siblings: Susie Zink, Melanie Shiepline, Kristina Ruppert, Ted (Mary) Ruppert all of Wapak and Rudy (Jill) Ruppert of Jackson Center.
The family will receive friends 2-6 p.m. Thursday Nov. 10 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m., with nephew David Jolley officiating. Military rites will be offered by V. F. W. Post 8445 following the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude's.
