Helen G. West age 82, of Wapakoneta passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017 at her residence. She was born Nov. 1, 1935 in Zaleski, Ohio to the late Francis J. and Alice A. Bolen Hayes. She married Francis M. "Frank" West Sept. 24, 1955 and he preceded her in death Dec. 22, 2015.
Helen had worked for Superior Metal. She loved to go and support her great grandchildren at their sporting events and to go to lunch with her friends.
Survivors include 2 sons: Bryan (Dodi) West of Wapakoneta and Duane (Cindy) West of Cridersville; 6 grandchildren: Beth (Abe) Frieson of Lima, Adam (Cassydee) West of Alger, Dan (Carly) West of Columbus, Meghan (Justin) Erb of Wapak, Lindsey (Brady) Dalrymple of Marysville, Kyle (Kelsey) West of Troy; 10 great grandchildren and one on the way; and 2 sisters: Marilyn Ann (Tom) West and Martha Kathryn (Ron) Molihan both of Zaleski, Ohio.
Helen was preceded in death by a great grandson Alexander West and siblings: William Thomas Hayes, Francis J. 'Jay' (Barbara) Hayes, Margaret Agnes Woods and Marie C. Colborn.
The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home Cridersville. A memorial service will follow at 11 with Pastor Corey Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice
