James E. Pugh, 75, of Lima, died on October 21, 2016 at his home. He was born February 1, 1941 in St. Marys, the son of Jess and Lenore (Allen) Pugh. He was raised by his Aunt, Loretta (Thomas) Pugh. On May 29, 1959, he married Joyce Ann Swick, who preceded him in death.
Jim was a life-long caregiver. He treated his patients as family and helped them to live their final years with joy and dignity. Jim was a pillar of strength and always available for all of his family. He was a loving father and a great pleasure in his life was spending time with his grandsons, Tyler and Brady.
Survivors include sons Eric Pugh, Lima, and Kevin (Lori) Pugh, Columbus, grandsons Brady and Tyler Pugh, Elida, a brother, Leroy Pugh of Florida, a sister, Ilene Adams of Tennesee, sisters in law Genie Swick and Laurie Swick, Elida, and brother in law Herb (Jean) Swick, Delphos.
He was preceded in death by brothers Thomas Pugh, Fenton Pugh, Junior (Opal) Pugh, and Kenneth Pugh, a sister, Irene Pugh, and brothers in law Doyt Swick, Ronald Swick, and Dennis Swick.
Burial will be a private service at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida. Memorial contributions can be made to the family through Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
