Libby D. Boerger, age 58 of Delphos, died at 6:17 a.m., Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice, Van Wert. She was born May 16, 1959 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana; to the late Robert and Doris Hoffman Christman. On September 9, 1978 she married Richard L. Boerger, who survives.

Libby was a homemaker who dealt with myotonic dystrophy for many years, debilitating her. She enjoyed reading romance novels by Danielle Steele and Nora Roberts. She was a nature lover, enjoyed animals and lighthouses, and was a fan of tv game shows.

She is also survived by a son - Eric W. Boerger of Delphos; a sister - Beverly (Brian) Jardine of Ft. Wayne, IN; 3 brothers - Steve Christman of Ft. Wayne, IN; Larry (Kathi) Christman of Ft. Wayne, IN; Craig (Karen) Christman of Evansville, IN; 2 brother-in-laws - Robert 'Bob' Boerger of Columbus; Ronald 'Ron' (RaeAnn) Boerger of Columbus Grove; a sister-in-law - Yvonne (George) Heitmeyer-Thompson of Defiance.

She was preceded in death by a son - Ryan Joseph Boerger who died May 23, 2015 and a sister - Vicki Grove.

A private family life celebration will be held at a later date. Her cremated remains will be buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Toledo or to Muscular Dystrophy Association in Libby's memory.
