She was born January 27, 1927 in Hume, Ohio, to the late James Jerome and Rachael Bowsher Flick. On November 23, 1947 she married Thomas R. Anderson, who survives in Lima.

Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker. She was a life long member of the Crossroads Church of God, where she enjoyed volunteering, and teaching Sunday school for 50 years. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, bird watching, and playing board games with her grandchildren whom she adored. She had a passion for playing piano where she learned to play by ear before taking lessons and was full of joy when she and family gathered around her piano to sing favorite hymns. Her loving kindness and unselfish giving to family and friends will always be her Hallmark and missed by all those who knew her.

Survivors include 2 sons - Thomas Michael 'Mike' (Cathy) Anderson of Marietta, GA; Timothy Douglas 'Tim' (Anthony) Barrick of Seattle, WA; 2 daughters - Emily Elizabeth (David) Peters of Broken Arrow, OK; Nancy Jo (John, III) Young of Lima; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother - Jordan (Juanita) Flick of Ft. Myers, FL; and a close niece - Lanelle Lines and her family of Reynoldsburg, OH.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers - Ervel Eugene Flick and James J. Flick; 2 sisters - Margaret Flick and Louella Burnside.

Funeral services will begin 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Robertson and Cheryl Martin. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery, near Cridersville.

The family will receive friends from 8:30 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research or Crossroads Church of God.

The family would like to thank the staff at Elmcroft for their love, compassion, hugs and daily care that they provided for Marrietta. You were her extended family and she loved each and everyone of you!
