Mary L. Holtzapple age 86, of Wapakoneta passed away 8:35 a.m., Thursday November 2 at Wapak Manor. She was born July 11, 1931 in Lima to the late Elvie Warren and Edith J. Hoaglin Hall. She married Harmon Holtzapple Nov. 14, 1948 and he preceded her in death April 22, 2003.
Mary was a member of Buckland United Church of Christ and graduated from Buckland High School in 1948. She had worked at Hemmert Shoes and later for Krogers for 17 years
Survivors include 2 sons: Keith B. (Jerrilee) Holtzapple of Troy and Kevin L. (Carolyn) Holtzapple of Wapakoneta a daughter Christine M. (Rick) Bush of Lima, 7 grandchildren: Clinton (Shannon) Cratty, Chad (Daphne) Cratty, Lucas H. (Tiffany Fontaine) Holtzapple, Katisha (Joe) See, Molly (Jared) Fore, David Holtzapple and Zachary (Fiance' Courtney Alt) Holtzapple; 7 great grandchildren: Erica Lopez, Michaela Roessler, Rachel Hern, Alex Bowers, Jeremiah Daniels, Kieran See and Hannah Bea Fore and 3 great great grandchildren: Mason Mullins, Silas Roessler and Lucy Lopez.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Mary Jean Cratty, a brother Donald 'Geno' Hall and sisters Evelyn Schaub and Margaret Kantner.
The family will receive friends Sunday 2-5 p.m. at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Buckland United Church of Christ with Rev. Adrian Sunday officiating and burial will follow in Buckland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Buckland United Church of Christ.
