James Robert Brown

James Robert "Bob" Brown, age 92, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 8:05 a.m., at Shawnee Manor. He was born July 14, 1919 in Allen County, Ohio to Corwin Clinton "Clint" and Freeda Mae Apple Brown. Both parents are deceased. On April 16, 1950 he married Elaine Laurea Johnson who survives.

Mr. Brown was an engineer employed by Norfolk & Western Railroad. He was a World War II, Army veteran and a life member of the V.F. W. in Fremont. He was a 32nd degree mason of the blue lodge; and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include two sons Dennis S. Brown of Lima, Ohio, Jerry (Jane) Estill of Lima, Ohio; 2 Daughters Lynne Davis of Lima, Ohio, V. Suzie (Dan) Cardwell of Lima, Ohio; nineteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a Brother M. Dale Brown; two sisters Helen Hardesty, Minnie Stevenson McClellen.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 Sunday, 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 Monday, February 20, 2012 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, in Cridersville.
Funeral service will begin 1:30 p.m., Tuesday Feb. 21 at the funeral home with Pastor Dean Johnson officiating burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery and military rites will be provided by V. F. W. Post 1275.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Veteran's Administration.
