Mark C. Johns, age 42 of Wapakoneta, died Monday, July 25, 2011 in Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born December 28, 1968 in Lima, Ohio. He is the son of Charles P. and Lela R Myers Johns who survive in Lima. On May 30, 2003 he married Kimberly Gross who also survives in Wapakoneta.
Mr. Johns was a Licensed Practical Nurse working at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home, Wapakoneta. He enjoyed the outdoors, campfires, and cooking. He loved the time spent with his sons and friends.
Survivors include 2 sons Matthew Johns and Zacharia Johns; and 3 siblings Bonnie (Mark) McNamara of Lima, Tammie (Bob) Hursh of Bluffton, Scott R. (Jennifer) Johns of New Commerstown; and multiple nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
It is the hope of his family and friends that others will benefit from his gift of organ donation.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 and 6:00-8:00, Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2011 at the funeral home. Pastor Don Nichols and Pastor Gary Bragg will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in St. Matthew Cemetery.
Mark took great pride in his nursing work, especially with Alzheimer’s patients. Memorial Contributions may be made to Auglaize Acres Alzheimer’s Unit.
